Adventure: Sri Lanka

This is a photo essay of our three-week bike tour of Sri Lanka with a dozen friends in February 2018, five weeks after I suffered a series of severe vertigo attacks. I found this enchanted island to be healing and inspiring with its beautiful temples and energy. During a short window of relative peace in a complicated country, we used the outfitter Red Spokes to guide us through every imaginable biosphere, tea plantation, beach, shrine, and neighborhood. The people of Sri Lanka are kind, hard-working, determined souls. It was a spiritually spectacular trip in every possible way, one I highly recommend. The riding was rigorous and varied—there was never a dull day! Here is everything you’d like to know to begin planning a visit.
